Hi. You mean other than shape I suppose. The spiral galaxies are still evolving. They have a strong gravitational center, black hole or something stranger. Ellipticals do not seem the have a central body. They are roughly the shape of an American football.

Eleptiods are older, and they are more "egg" shaped. Spirals are younger, and as the nam implies, shaped like incinceviably vast spirals!
