Why do so many black people have "my babys daddy" or "my babies momma" and not husbands and wives?

Perhaps that because none of these people are married and that phase has been coined to describe there current or ex boy/girlfriend.

I know there are a lot of people in that situation including whites, and Latinos. The key word is many but not all. I am a proud Afro-American and I have four kids with my husband of ten years. We live in a beautiful 5 bedroom house, 2 full baths and a ground pool in the back. And you know what I saw one day that was strange to me. A white girl with three babies, one was black, the other white, and the third Mexican. What do you think about that? Write us back, I want to know your opinion please. Wow would you like a cookie for all that? you are part of less than 50%.Congratualtions.The fact is that over 50% of all black kids live in a single parent home.only about 17% of white kids fall into this catogory and spanish are around 23%.You dare to respond with your ignorant comment about 1 case of a white girl with a mexican,white and black kid without knowing the statistics here? your whole story sounds made up to me anyway.

Because they have no basic family structure to teach them otherwise and also because sex has become a way for children without proper parenting to feel needed and important. It's a sad breakdown of our society I am disappointed there is no way to get through to these lower income invironments that the continual breakdown of family life and the growth of adverse and drug environments isn't going to change where their life is moving. Family is so important. Having a father and a mother is so important. Having dinner and playing games each night with each other is so important. Sharing family issues and backgrounds is so important. If these folks are merely having sex and calling eachy other baby's daddy and baby's mom, they are merely screwing each other literally and putting their offspring at risk for never having a real family life. My biggest problem with this group is children having multiple fathers who have nothing to do with them at all and mothers who have problems who don't take their children in consideration at all.

You cant really generalize it as a black peoplpe thing, I have tons of white friends or hispanic friends that I work with that are carrrying just as many illigetimate children. I think its because sex has become a quantity issue not quality, and theres pressure from society that if you haven;t slept with at least this many people you haven;t lived. So you end up with people who don;t really love each other making babies so they dont get married and end up each others baby mommas or daddies.

I don't know where you live but look around. Lot's of "white" people have baby's daddy's and baby's momma's too.

Its a trendy way of talking now but underlying it is the huge number of pregnancies to unmarried persons which may be a problem when it comes time for social security benefits, etc

It's exceedingly hard to be legally married to 5 or 6 people at one time.
