The answer is -8. U would take the negative 10 (-10) and add negative 5 (-5) The answer is negative 15 (-15). Add positive 7 (7) the answer is negative (-8). I am no teacher, but the best way I figured these math equations out was 2 draw a sliding scale

A negative plus a negative equals a positive.
