the pc i have is used so i don't know how or why the "run" is not on there.

Easy:

1. Right-click the Start button.
2. Select Properties.
3. Click the Start Menu Page.
4. Click the Customize button.
5. Click the Advanced page.
6. Scroll down the Starte Menu Items and find the Run Command.
7. Check it.
8. OK out of everything.

Might require a reboot.

Right-click taskbar, choose properties. Click on start menu tab. Now depending if you got start menu, click on customize button, the advanced tab, scroll to bottom and 4 boxes above system admin tools, run should be there. If you have classic start menu, click on customize, display run should be the third one down.

start, right click the start menu, you will see properties. click that, from there customize it. Run has been disabled. Turn it back on.
Run is in the accesories always. Just under remote assistance.

Before doing any of the above, scan for virus. A virus might have disabled "run".
