well based upon your statement of "I just get so annoyed when people pronounce things wrong" I'd go with a more traditional name that will not have the possibility of that problem...
It's not to my tastes - but then again I'm having problems naming our 4th daughter due in Sept too...

Kirya isn't bad....but
Kiara Lynn
Kyara Lynn
Kya Lyn
Kara Lynn
Cara Lynn
Ky - Ana Lynn
Kira Lynn
....are some alternatives. I'm not particularly fond of Kirya, but Lynn is a great name, I agree.
Good Luck!

it's a pretty name, but it would probably never be pronounced right : "KEE-ree- yuh" (like i would think to pronounce it), "KUR-yuh", etc (My name is Brianne, and before it really caught on, you'd be surprised how many people pronounced it wrong;especially Substitute teachers). But if you want the emphasis on the second syllable, perhaps you could try Kearrah, Keerrah, Kirrah, Kyrrah, or something like that. It's still kind of confusing, though. I don't know. Don't you wish English was more like Japanese where the vowels are always pronounced the same way and their words are said in monotone,so you don't have to worry about putting the emphasis on the wrong syllable? That would make it SO much easier :p.
i personally like Akirya, but is that "ah- kee- ree-yah" (like it would be in Japanese)? Because that's how i would think to pronounce it.

I don't know if it will work, my name is really Ashleighlynn, a horrible way to spell it. I have always hated someone saying " How do you spell it?" or "How do you pronounce that?" And me always saying" A-S-H-L-E-I-G-H-L-Y-N-N" and then my last name, a Spanish one, I always had to spell that out too. I hated how in spell-check, it always underlined my name! First and last! And no one ever said my first or last name right the first time!!! So, no, I don't think you should name her that, you shouldn't put her through the trouble my mother put through me. Not that I'm blaming you, that is a beautiful name! How about something original? Like:
~Emily Lynn
~Katie Lynn
~Nicole Lynn
~Nikki Lynn (my favorite!)
I don't want to give you too many ideas! I'd overwhelm you! I hope I've helped! Good luck with the precious little girl!
P.S. I totally forgot! Kira-Kira (your way of pronouncing it) means "Clear Blue" in Japanese! My favorite book is titled "Kira-Kira"!!! P.P.S. I am not Japanese, it said that in the book! LOL!

The best way to spell Kirya, so it's pronounced properly, would be to spell it as close to the way it sounds as possible, and that would be Kirra or Kirrah. Even Kerra, would be pronounced as Care-ah..
Akirya is a great name but I'd spell it as Akirra, pronounced Ah-ker-ah. Is that the sound you mean by the spelling Akirya? By that spelling, I'd pronounce that as Ah-kur-ya. So I'd drop the y part!
Kirra Lynn
Akirra Lynn
Kirralyn could also be neat name!
Very nice name! Good luck!

I like Kyra. It's simple, yet different. And it looks how it's pronounced. If you wanted, you could add an 'h' at the end.
Kyra Lynn
Kyrah Lynn

Sorry, I'm still not getting how you want it pronounced. I think if it's that difficult to explain you should probably avoid it. I love the name Kyra myself. It is my God daughters name. Pronounced Kee-ruh.
