Everything has a time and a place. You can't recreate a phenomenon. It's best to let it be (no pun intended). What if they were to try and it failed? Besides, everybody moves on. What if they were all still alive and continued until they became stale together? They all grew and moved on to their own thing. Basically, they lived life as life is intended. I'm content to have had them and to appreciate what there is now.

Its a great idea. George's son sounds and plays a lot like his dad, and could join the band as well. I believe Paul wants to be the sole leader of his band, and wants it to stay that way. Without the Lennon-McCartney writing team, there isn't much point in getting back to do new stuff.

Paul has adamantly refused to re-form the Beatles since the day they broke up. I don't think he's going to change his mind now.

Ego plus the fact they're no long struggling to get by. Doing your "own thing" means a lot.
