i feel the gay community, majority, is all about screwing the hottest person they can find. So staying faithful is pretty much hard....No offence. do you not think the same?

i disagree completely, and frankly find it a bit offensive.

We are not this one large monolithic group who all march to the beat of the same drummer. We come in all shapes and size, all races, all social classes, rich, poor, all professions.
So, it's silly to try and lump us all into this or that.

Are there segments of the gay community who are all about ******* the hottest piece of *** and then moving on to find the next hottest piece? Sure. But, there is also a segment who are into more than that and look for it in a committed relationship.

This is not different than the straight world. Some of the biggest whore-dogs I have met were my group of straight friends I grew up with.

I am all about monogamy, and I'll tell you why. Sex is where two people express their love for each other in a very special way. It's a deep emotional bonding, at least I see it that way, two hearts, two souls become one. When the two come apart again, each carries a little bit of the other's soul with him or her. It's a very special thing, and it makes breaking up or finding out that person was not for real that much harder and more painful. I've been there once, and as pleasant as sex is, I don't want to do that with anyone unless that someone is for real, and the relationship is going to be for real.

Maybe I'm not being realistic, but that's how I choose to live, it's my lifestyle.

I beg your pardon, Young Man, NEVER generalize. You have no idea how many monogamous relationships are out there. I have a marriage that's older than you are. It's going on it's 27th year this October and from what I've seen it's about middle aged for the Y!A crowd.
You kids are "all about" promiscuity but there's more to life than that. You'll find that out soon enough, trust us.
Until that, please rememeber to try not to generalise around your elders. We're still listening. I'm not that deaf yet.

PS My apologies from snapping at you. The anti gay violence Q still has me snarky.

You really need to get educated and stop stereotyping. Try meeting some REAL gay people (not the flirty shallow people you occasionally see in clubs pretending to be gay).

There are plenty of gay people who have partners they are with for very long periods of time. I'd also like to know how you find the promiscuous/monogamous factor any different than you do in straight people. I've met straight people who can't keep a boyfriend/girlfriend for more than a week.

I also know some gay couples who have been together for 10 years or more. So I know your belief is false.

I'm comfortable with both.
If i'm with someone i'm (generally) monogomous and comfortable in the relationship. If Im with someone I enjoy the relationship.
However when i'm single I enjoy it, I don't sleep around, but I go out clubbing and will make out with random people. I don't spend a lot of time pining and seeking a relationship, I enjoy being single.

I was happy with monogamy for 42 years until the death of my partner. Now I have a small circle of straight and lesbian women friends with no sexual attractions whatsoever.

Monogamy. The One person that I want to be with and wants to be with me. That's it.
Could I be tempted? Yes, but nothing like that would ever be worth throwing away what I have so I would never give in to the temptation.

I’ll tell you what I don’t understand. Some people look for this really fantastic guy, they find him, have sex and then walk away. I wanted to find that guy and keep him. I was lucky, my "Mr Right" came along and we’ve now been together for 16 years.

It's hard to say... for a while I was a swinger, but I fell in love with someone, and I only want him now.
