I want to wipe my Windows 98 computer but my 98 disc broke a few years ago. Is there a way I can recover Windows 98 after I wipe the hard drive without the disc?

Thanks

To put it simply, no.
If everything on your hard drive is gone than so is your OS (Operating System) . You will need some sort of new OS.

Install Belarc Advisor and run it to get your 98 CD key and write it down.

Back up all your personal data AND DRIVERS from your PC (copy to CD / DVD / external hard drive).

Call friends and family, someone will have a 98 CD laying around. Borrow it and do a clean install using YOUR 98 CD key. Re-install your drivers, personal data and all apps.

NO, you need your windows98 disk to be able to re-install it. Without the disk, you will be left with a blank hard drive.
