Tornado hunting is not really a job. There are a few people that do it as part of their job (meteorology researchers), and a few people that offer tours and make money that way, there are a few others that sell photos and video from their chases. By and large, it is a hobby that people SPEND money doing. If you can set some compensation to partially defray the cost of chasing you are doing very well. I was paid to take a lightning detector out when I went chasing last year, but the trip still ended up costing me money.

There are tornado hunting tours in the Midwest. People pay a fee to come along with tornado chasers in hopes of actually seeing a tornado up close. I don't know how lucrative the business is but there are several of them that advertise on the net.

There doesn't seem to be much money involved in it. But, it'd make an awesome and exciting side job. I'm sure you could sell some of the money to news stations and still photos to newspapers, but I'm not sure if there'd be enough business or tornados to perform this work on a full-time basis.
