I'm pretty sure they didn't care. Why would they? The only people who really care about cutting their grass are people who live in suburban areas, and that's really only so the homes and neighborhoods look nice, which means they have a greater real-estate value.
Besides, grass doesn't grow in caves, so tehre was none to cut in the first place.

they didn't because they didn't care if the grass grew and they probably didn't grow a yard or lawn.... for the most part the idea of a lawn or yard developed from nobility in the 17th or 18th century....it was a show of wealth..like look at me i have so much money i can pay someone to cut grass which really serves no purpose.....

There was no grass to cut. Why would they waste their time on lawns, especially inside a cave with no sun?
