The answer completely relative to the person. A person considered impoverished here may be considered rich in another part of the world.

My definition has nothing to do with money.

I dont give a dollar figure to being rich. I have an amazing husband of 16 years, two wonderful children and just enough "money" to pay the bills and buy groceries, so in my eyes? I am the richest person alive.

But thats not the answer you wanted. ;-)

The more you make, the more you spend.

The wealthiest guy can be "rich" on paper, but be living pay-check to pay-check, like the majority of America.

Rich to me, is being comfortable not and not in debt. And the average educated person is more than capable of doing that if they make the right choices.

Rich is having more that the next guy! Whatever that figure is! If you make $10,000 a year and I make $10,001 I'm rich!

Being rich to me is not HAVING to work for a living.
If you WANT to work, that is a different matter.

The dollar amount will depend on a person's values.

in this day and age, anyone who can spend at least three quarters of a million dollars a year on whatever they want, AFTER taxes, is rich.

When your money works for you instead of you working
for your money.

I think Bill Cosby said that.
