Only about 10 of law makers(or may be less than that) read that famous flawed NEI. The congress could have denied president's wish for Iraq War. There are lot of blames to go around for both GOP and Democrats. You can spin it one way or another, but the blame falls on all of us as nation.

Ask the soldiers? Why not write them letters? Send them some treats from home with your spare time. You would be surprised at how many of them support and are happy with what they are doing for the Iraqi citizens. I know many soldiers that were in Iraq or Afghanistan and they do not hate the war, they support and all have said they would go back again. Remember the soldiers volunteered for this. They signed up knowing that we often go into other countries to help them fight for freedom. They know we have allies all over the world and would fight with them or for them.

We could all start with an apology to the world. Maybe it would improve our image. As for our troops, we should start with an apology, get them the hell out of the Mideast and start giving the wounded the care they deserve. Nobody is seriously looking for Bin-laden anyway, and there is not just one civil war going on. ..all different kinds of tribes are killing each other. Seems to me that this street-fighting is totally ineffective and has been outdated (and lethal) since the invention of missiles. Also, bring the National Guard home to do what they are supposed to do...take card of our country. Texas could sure use their help with their floods right now!

no-just the same gratitude that all Americans have owed the troops of any war. remember the Maine or the Gulf of Tonkin or the invasion & occupation of the south. our wars haven't always had simple or even righteous reasons. get a historical perspective and get over yourself

All who voted for the war do -- including Hillary, Kerry, Edwards, etc. Not just Republicans voted to go to war in Iraq.

YES they do! The lies that were told to the American public and to the soldiers who risked everything to help in nothing but an "oil war" is unacceptable in anyone's stretch of their imagination! If it is an "oil war" then why are we paying over $3.00 a gallon for gas?

No, They owe the entire Nation and the World an apology and a promise that this batch of NeoCons will be never allowed to hold any type of public trust again in the future.

Per the Constitution, Congress is supposed to have the power to declare war. Congress abdicated their responsibility. The President isn't supposed to have this authority. So, if we blame anyone, it's Congress.

Why don't you ask a soldier?
A LOT of my friends joined the Marines after the war started. They know what they are fighting for, that is why they joined.
