Anyone? Certainly - you can recover data from about every drive (thermite is needed to destroy it completely) if you have the money. I'd say you have a 50/50 shot with this, and you will need another computer, to which you must install your drive as a secondary ("Slave") drive.

The program I recommend is called "getdataback" and is available at http://www.runtime.org/ - I have used it for many years and have had exceptional success with it. I'd say, download the trial version and see if it can recover -anything- from the old filesystem (things may be a bit complex, so ~DO~ read the manual). It will let you open and view the files, but you have to "buy" (wink?) the full version (NTFS - not FAT) in order to copy your files over (are they worth $79 to you? Either way, it is much cheaper than bringing it into the shop (and infinitely faster!)). But one thing is certain: don't use your computer any more! Turn it off immediately - the longer that drive runs, the more data is written over your old stuff.

Good luck!

you could try the usual file undelete software, there are free versions. however you may want to do it soon as the longer you dont recover them the more deteriorated they will be
