If they put it all together, it is definitely possible. The defense has to continue to improve, though, and i would like them more if they had at least 1 playoff win.

Of course...NOT! At least not this upcoming year. They have an inconsistent QB in Palmer and a self-absorbed WR in Chad Johnson who always wants the ball. (Yes, Chad did "beat" a horse in a race, but then again, did you see his head start?) The Bengals have no solid defense to protect the games when Palmer and Johnson aren't producing Sportcenter Highlights. Not to mention, they gotta play in the AFC, as you know, has the reigning Super Bowl Champs Indy Colts....along with the Patriots, Chargers, Broncos, etc. At best, the Bengals might be the #5 best team in the AFC. Other than that, good luck to them if they (or you ) think they will make it the Superbowl this year. How knows, 5-7 years down the road, they might be there.

No. They have too many holes on defense to keep up with the good teams in the playoffs. Unlike the Colts of last year, the bengals do not have enough stars on defense to suddenly be great. They can score with the best of them, barring Carson Palmer gets injured again, but their offense is not that high powered to carry them into the Superbowl; the 2004 Colts were the perfect example of a high powered offense, zero-defense team that got blown out 20-3 in the Divisional Round. The message here is that you need a balanced team because sooner or later, someone is going to stop your greatest strength, and that you need balance on the team in case that does happen. So until Cincinatti makes a push at more defensive stars (and staying out of jail), i cant picture them in the superbowl, although a push for the playoffs i can imagine, but nothing more than a wild card.

If they play their best, half of the Bengals roster will find itself sitting in Jail. With Pittsburgh and Baltimore still in this division and the Charger and Patriots still being the best teams in football the road to the superbowl for the bengals is highly improbable.

Yes- playing their best with no injuries- the Bengals have a good shot at the Super Bowl! The Chargers are the real threat this year however, and with the AFC loading up on quality defensive backs to stop Indy the NFC has little chance of competing for quite some time.
I perdict the Colts will have trouble with repeating- losing players- injury- more film to learn how to beat them, etc... Also the Chargers seem to have the Answer there.
Dark Horse- Denver goes to their 7th Super Bowl- Cutler has 1/2 of a season under his belt, and their team is class and Championship caliber year after year.
The Bengals??? Yes if they play their best they will have a chance to win the Big One-- just remember it is the NFL (No Figure League)

The Bungals won't even win the division let alone the SB. They have no heart & are great at winning meaningless games, but when the pressure's on, they fold up like a cheap suitcase. They'll never beat the Steelers when it really counts. All these whiners keep saying that they were robbed two years ago when Palmer got hurt in the play-offs, but he's been there with C. Johnson & the rest of those guys for how long & hasn't won a damn thing, has he?

no. they are going to have a tough time even making it to the playoffs, let alone winning a playoff game. it's not that they aren't a good team, but they are in the afc. that's the biggest reason why i don't think they have a shot. if they were in the nfc, they would be a contender for the superbowl, but they arent. the afc is just loaded of teams that can win and are better than the bengals i.e. colts, patriots, chargers, ravens. first off, making the playoffs will be hard for them. i don't think they will win the afc north. the ravens play such good defense and have a vastly improving offense. they will be a challenge to the bengals for winning the division. it will be tough to make the wild card. i honestly don't think they have a legitimit shot at the second round of the playoffs.

I don't think so, they would have won the superbowl the year before last had Palmer not been the victim of a Steelers cheap shot in the playoffs. I just don't think even if Palmer is playing at his best that they can do it right now... something just seems much different about that team now, and it's not a change for the better.

The Bengals are an anomaly. They have this talented team that just imploded all of a sudden. If they can get their stuff together off the field and come together as a team then I think they will be a mighty force in the NFL. They showed signs of it a few years ago.

Bengals have only a this year chance to go to super bowl this year, they got a pretty good line up, they have a 2nd ranked quarterback: Carson Palmer, They have one of the best wide recever Chad Johnson and T.J Houshmanzadeh, and they have a jaw dropping running back: Rudi johnson, so before this team starts to break off next year they have to go to superbowl this year as long as they have this good line up.

There is a chance but i think too many off field issues will have negative effects on them. And with teams like Indy, San Diego, and New England in the same conference I don't think it will happen.
