Only if you think that Green Day is a rip off of the Ramones, the Sex Pistols, etc, etc, etc. It's not like Green Day is doing anything unique. Mind you, I like Green Day, but they were neither the first to play that type of music, nor will they be the last.

You seem to be under the impression that Green Day were/are original... LOL! Green Day, Good Charlotte, etc... were all influenced my the same early 80s punk scene. Have you ever noticed how Billy from Green Day sings with a British accent, even though he's from the United States? He's ripping off an entire music genre called 'British Punk Wave' and he's doing it GREAT! But, none of the bands you mentioned are original, they're just playing the music they love! :-)

I think it's just you. Or your ears, lol. Fall Out Boy are not trying to be punk. My Chemical Romance is good friends with Green Day, but they sound nothing like them. Simple Plan is just plain horrible, but they sort of try to sound/act like GD. Good Charlotte tried to be the mini GD, but it didn't quite work out. They tried to act like they were tough and hate celebrities and anything popular. So in conclusion, no those bands are not rip offs of Green Day.

Well, you must not listen to them much, because a lot of bands sound alike. They all have different styles.
Go on iTunes and look them up. Listen to a few samples and you'll realize they are way different from Green Day.
Simple plan and Good Charlotte don't even sound much like them.
Good charlotte's songs are kind of, darker sometimes, or sometimes happier. Green day's usually in between.
Simple plan is easy to tell, it's more like pop.
Fall Out Boy is just different in every way possible, the sound, the subjects of the songs, everything, and so is MCR.
You can look up lyrics to compare them too.

I think it's you.
I don't see any similarity between the bands you mention and Green Day...I really don't...the music is different, and if I were to choose who sounded most like Green Day, it would be Good Charlotte. But Green Day has a more mature sort of sound.

They all sound alike because it's all the same genre of music. Each has differences and each one has their own unique style. Certain bands may have influenced them in some way. They don't sing the same songs, so I'd say that they are not rip offs of any band.

It's you. They play the same type of music and that is it. Are you saying no other band should play the same type of music because Green Day plays it? How would that be good?

Well i know Simple plan is a rip off of GD. I remember them saying that they idolize GD. And obviously, SP's sound is exactly like GD's sound (well actually, its worse).
