I think it all depends on the pet's personality. Most cats can't be trained, but even a well-trained dog can mis-behave. They all have their moments of trying their human's nerves. LOL. I prefer cats, simply because I don't NEED to go walk them, they're happy by themselves, and will seek us out to show us love when they want. Easier to leave alone while on vacation, trips, etc as well. Dogs, not so easy. Either way, I believe there's no proof that one behaves better or worse than the other, it depends on the breed, upbringing, personality and genes.

I love dogs over cats but they are a real hundful. Dogs need to be house broken which can take a couple months if they are stubborn. A cat will use its litter box after it is shown it a couple times and you put it in it. Puppies will chew on everything they can. Dogs also have accidents in the house when your not there. So if you dont want the hassel i suggest you get a kitten have them fixed and declawed.

Nooo! In my experience anyway. My cat is an angel compared to my dog, but I guess it depends on what limitations and rules you give it. Is it going to be an inside or an outside dog? They say if you give them enough toys and walk them every day they won't be bored and looking for something to do, but my dog has HEAPS of toys, and I walk her every afternoon and she still manages to chew random items she finds -the toilet roll, extension cords, items from the bin,the blinds - anything! Cats in my experience are far better behaved - we'll, they don't really do much at all!

properly it relies upon on how properly the owner has experienced them, and how they relate to little ones. Chihuahuas i've got heard are greater vocal and nippy, and beagles i've got heard relate greater proper to young little ones. yet while they have been puppies and grew up with young little ones that they had in all probability get alongside. Cats in some situations connect themselves to a minimum of one specific individual and infrequently flow close to all and sundry else, so a kin cat like the Ragdoll could be greater proper proper for little ones.

Well...dogs are more hyped up than cats and are very physically active.

Cats are more independent.

But it all depends on what kind of dog you have or what kind of cat you get.
