I'm pro-choice; I can't possibly know all the circumstances of someone else's life, and quite frankly, I have enough trouble just keeping myself out of trouble ;-)

Although there are some situations which are sad say for example a person who is raped gets pregnant and aborts the child. I cant say I know how they feel but im sure it must be really difficult however the child is not at fault here therefore he should get the chance to live.

Plus when a pregnant woman is killed its considered double murder so then the child in question is a life. Which means it shouldnt die.

So for these reasons I am Pro Life though I do admit that girls out there have tough decisions to make and I wont judge them for it unless they say "Oh I just couldnt handle a baby right now" Well if thats the case then you shouldnt have had sex. A baby isnt a thing you buy and throw away when you dot want it. Hope this answers your queston.

Here's the problem with those that are Pro-Life - they make it all an ultimatum. I also believe that you're the one that got yourself pregnant so "deal with it" is a good answer. But there are extenuating circumstances where their should be the choice - and making abortion illegal makes this impossible.

To explain:

Rape - you should be able to have an abortion if the baby was conceived as a result of rape

Where there is a threat to the mother - if it's the choice between having the abortion and guaranteeing the mother's life - or NOT having the abortion and putting the mother at risk - the CHOICE should be there

I would like to do everything possible to avoid unwanted pregnancies, but in the end I'm pro-choice. I don't buy into the right-wing argument that a fetus is a life at the time of conception. I also place a very high value on personal freedom. The nail in the coffin, though, is that it would be horribly destructive to ban abortion. Women will try to do it themselves with coat hangers, or dump babies on the street, or do any number of other horrible things to avoid being forced into a situation that they don't want to be in.

How can you FORCE someone to accept the the toll a pregnancy puts on a body? The potential loss of income affecting other dependents in a family? The utter heartbreak of giving away a child? Trying (and failing?) to feed a child as a single mother trying to work with no other income other than welfare? I don't get how you can force these things on someone just because it makes you feel more comfortable. Christian values at work.

It all depends on the situation ! for example a rape victim that get pregnant yeah they have the right to. But when you get these like 14 , 15 ,16 year old that go around and think oh well i can just have an abortion, It's wrong ! when i thought that i was pregnant i went to planned parent hood to make sure i saw a women with her 14 year old daughter whom was coming out of an abortion that said wow mom that really hurt ( her mother looked so damn ashamed). Me my son is two years old now and driving me up a wall

Pro life. If they didn't want a baby, they would be smart enough to use protection.

EDIT: Pro choice IS abortion.
