A BIC lighter doesn't HAVE fluid... it is butane gas !! It is "liquid" under the extreme pressure within the lighter, but is a gas once released !!

ZIPPOS use fluid (kerosene), or butane in VERY new lighters.

Don't even TRY to "defuel" a BIC... Mythbusters did a program on them exploding.

If its a Zippo type, remove the inner portion from the outer case. At the bottom of the inner portion, pull the felt type padding back and squirt the lighter fluid into the cotton, being careful not to over fill. If its a butane type, locate the valve on the bottom and press the spout of the butane canister onto the valve and push. It will spray out a little when the lighter is full.

That's not a good idea the bic would probably blow up. They have zippo or equivalent fluid at wal-mart, i'm sure your town has one of those.

What do you mean, you can't find fluid? Lighter fluid is available everywhere.
