I just got a new fish for my 15 gal. tank. It's a Dwarf Gourami Fire male. Mostly redish-orange with a blue top fin. You can google images of what they look like for ideas. Anyone have a good name for him?? He's in with 3 platy (Mikey, Mini & Indi) and a small school of neons. I'm looking for an original name. Please help!

Orange and Blue name him "Bear" after the Chicago Bears or name him "Illini" or "Fighting Illini" or "Chief Illiniwic" after the University of Illinois which is where the Chicago Bears got their orange and blue colors or name him "Husky" after the mascot of Oak Park River Forest High School which is where the University of Illinois received their colors.
I think I'll have to go out and get 2 of these and name them Bear and Husky. Thanks for the idea.

If you want a smart joke, name him Hephaestus. Hephaestus was the Greek god of fire and he was said to be short in stature but rather thick (just like your little Gourami).

Very unusual fish. I look at him and reminds me of a red chili pepper- so in honor of the Red Hot Chili Peppers how about Flea? Just a thought.
