Maybe you could find a new hobby or something that would keep you out of the house a lot until his stay is over.

so your brother in law is a total stranger to you? maybe you should take advantage of the situation and get to know him better...he is part of your family now. Maybe you should call him on the phone and talk to him and maybe meet him for lunch before he comes to your house so you can get an idea of what kind of person he is.

Yes you should. He is your brother in law now and part of the family. Get to know him or if you can't stand the man then just be polite. Either way he is family now.

its your brother in law.. learn how to trust him. There will be times in your life when you will have to open up with people. Don't worry about it too much. If it leaves you feeling really awkward, have a talk with your mom about it, she will figure out how to deal with it.

Unless your mom has him sleeping in your bed with you, just roll with it. Why would she have him stay at a hotel? He's her son-in-law, and should stay with family (unless he's a complete and utter *sshole).

Is it your house, or your moms house? If it's your moms, she makes the decision. If it's yours, then you do.
