the thing that pops out to me is the power supply, maybe get a 700w or 650w, and don't listen to the guy who said you graphics card sin't powerful enough to run BF2142 it's twice what the minimun needs to run the game. Other than that it doesn't sound like its overheating at 49 degrees. Maybe add a few more case fans. they're real cheap.

47- 49 is very low for a computer that is running a game its not overheating. I would be more worried it was in the high sixties.

Could be cause you graphics driver isnt upto date or your graphics card is not powerful enough to run the game

A good way to check out your computer and eliminate it as a problem is to run Prime95 on it for a few hours. Use the Torture test pattern. It's a free program. http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft.htm if that checks out good, then you can assume it is the game.

hmmm how many memory ram do you have on your computer? if you only have a small amount of ram installed on your computer this is the possible things that caused your computer to freeze.. or do you have other application running while you are playing battlefield2142? it is also the reason to make your computer freeze its comsuming ram memory of your pc try to add or put additional memory ram( DDR RAM) to your computer and it will solve your problem.. hope this one helps

Your computer is getting too hot. Either add more case fans or move the computer to a cooler area with better air circulation.

do as i do: remove the cover, the computer gets lots of cooling then! :-) and furthermore, the power suply may not be able to give enogh power if the computer works hard, and then it will freeze, or restart by it self
