The legalization of prostitution would alleviate a lot of work for our police force, allowing them to focus better on felonies which are much more serious and is a better use of time. More importantly, it would provide AT LEAST hundreds of millions of dollars annually for our economy and NOT to the Black Market and with government regulation added, it would help to control sex trafficking therefore putting abusive pimps out of a job now because the prostitutes would be legal sex-workers with certain rights and protections under law if we change the policy. What I think is most though is that a person should have the right to spend his or her money the way he or she wants so long as it doesn't hurt others. Plus, it's not for me or anyone else to tell somebody, especially a stranger, what to do with his or her own body!

This may be hard for you to believe, but as a Ronald Reagan Conservative.......... I agree with you.
Last year I moved from Chicago to the Czech Republic. During this interval, my views on alcohol, drugs, and sex have changed about 80% Here's my new, more enlightened viewpoint: the U.S. tries to make everything too neat, sanitized, and "perfect". In the process, it unwittingly makes everything worse.
Here in Prague, guys and girls date very young. Kids who are only 14 or 15 are already dating. There is no huge teen pregnancy problem, nor a lot of people addicted to porn. Any kid who wants a beer can get one at most places. There is no big alcoholism problem. Getting pot is not hard (I'm told), and there is not much hard drug abuse.
What accounts for the difference between the U.S. and the Czech Republic? In the U.S., it's all "forbidden fruit". Hence, people go crazy obsessing about it. When kids turn 21, they go on drinking binges every weekend. Kids have no sense of self control, so teen pregnancy is a problem. All those restrictions CAUSED a bigger problem!
There is no other reasonable explanation. The U.S. is creating its own problems. We insist on meddling in every aspect of a person's life, and it just makes people want the drugs, sex, and alcohol even more. Here, few kids even care about alcohol. It's always been available, so it's no big deal.
There are dozens of "cabarets" here. Kids frequently see people of the opposite sex naked. It's not uncommon for families to go to the beach, and get undressed in public in order to put on a swimsuit, or change clothes. Women often go topless. It's just natural here. No one stares. It's commonplace. Imagine the difference in the U.S. You'd have dozens of sex-starved guys just cruising the beach looking for a cheap visual thrill.
Yes, let's regulate these industries. Money received from drug sales....... and we're talking hundreds of billions of dollars, can go towards drug awareness programs and drug treatment. We'll actually have far fewer people addicted to drugs.
You know who comprise 98% of the attendees at these Prague cabarets? People from puritanically repressed countries. Czech don't need cabaret shows. Sex is very commonplace and natural for them. Hence, they don't develop weird sexual perversions. Prostitution could easily be regulated, and be made much safer for the ladies.
Right on Wenceslas Square there is a hotel where a well dressed, middle-aged lady stands in the entrance most nights. She is a prostitute. However, Czech law forbids harrassment, so they cannot compel her to move. In fact, the hotel staff is very friendly towards her. She is just like any other employee. The doorman often chats with her. Isn't this a better arrangement than women living on the fringes of society, and having to have some abusive pimp provide protection?

If it works in Amsterdam (and a few other countries), there's no reason why it shouldn't work in America (besides some areas in Las Vegas). We are talking about a trade between consenting adults.
If it is legalized, there will be lesser victimless crimes in America, and it will require less tax payers' money to enforce laws. Besides, the government also gets a new source of revenue from the working girls.
The only thing the government should do is protect the rights of people, and make sure no contracts are breached.

the subjects interior our financial equipment won't be ready to be fastened by the sums of money criminal Prostitution could generate in taxes from people who could even complication to pay them and any taxes amassed could only be used to fund the disastrous Social classes we've, persevering with the cycle of undesirable government. as a result there is not any rational reason to incorporate any such detrimental vocation.

You are a Liberal nut. If you are a Conservative you think that prostitution is wrong, and therefore realize that making it legal would just make it that much more readily available to everyone. There would be more divorce, more children growing up without a dad of mom because one parent found it to tempting to just drop by the whore house. I think it is an issue of morals and you have none. You are not alone though. We have to many people that have strong feelings that are similar to yours. I guess you would like to take our guns away also. You say legalize it so it can be regulated. I guess we should legalize all kinds of illegal things in this country huh. You are a freak and its people like yourself that I worry about. We have people like you raising kids and teaching children in school and making laws in our government. It won't be long though. It will all come to a halt and folks gonna have to face the music. Yep, I am in the Bible Belt. Where are you located? The Progressive Liberal lets all just bust Hell wide open belt.
