since it's on his leg, it's not a hernia. most likely a pulled muscle. watch out with that icy hot. it's a little to close to the important stuff and it'll burn.

Hernia pain does not present itself on the inner thigh. There is a femoral artery where you specify, sometimes virus can cause discomfort there if you know what I mean. If the pain continues, see an MD.

Does he do sports? i have the same prob. but mine is from the cup that i wear. it rubs and then after a while it will swell up. not to much tho . i don't think it is a hernia. but if it hurts bad then go check it out

sounds like a pulled groin if it up in his groin area, ibuprofen, and rest are the best thing,
hernias are more in the pubic hair area
