To start with, read this from the FTC:

Then from Wikipedia:

Write to them and state that it is not your debt , giving the reasons as to why , Give them your number as they may wish to contact you

State that if they carry on there action , you will be forced to take legal action , at there cost , not yours

Its quite simple to find which Court has issued the warrent , contact them and dispute there claim , you will have to go to your local County Court and fill in some forms , and when you receive the notice which states the warrent has been dis charged , send the company a copy , and a bill for telephone / Post / time etc .

Get their fax number. Write a 20 page letter explaining that the bill is not yours. Every time they contact you, and the date and time of the contact to your letter and fax the entire letter to them. When they realize they are spending more on toner and paper than the debt is worth, they will stop contacting you. If they threaten to sue over the faxes, dare them to try.

PS. They threat of legal action is a LIE. If they were actually going to sue, your first notice would be the actual lawsuit.

Write to them and tell them you are not the person they are looking for. Capquest buy old debt from companies so chances are that they are looking for someone who used to live at your address
