I've read that some people claim they were hypnotized by Kaa watching Disney's "Jungle Book". If a snake could really do that, or if a person could create a machine that radiated colored circles, like Kaa's eyes; (and the person would also have to give hypnotic commands) would it be possible to hypnotize a person? If this isn't hypnotic, then where did Disney come up for the idae of this animation? Thanks.

All characters and stories of Walt Disney are imaginary and you can not take it as true. Even hypnotism itself is unbelievable and the events in Jungle book are also highly false and imaginary. How Mowgli can live with such ferocious animals in the jungle ? Kaa's hypnotizing also not to be believed.-

this is the closest thing i can think off. warning do not use if you have seizures. also there is some talk that this was partialy responsible for Kurt Cobains death. "The Dream Machine consists of a cardboard cylinder with holes in it attached to a record-player turntable, in the middle of which sits a 100-watt light bulb. When the machine is turned on, the cylinder spins at 78 rpm. Subjects sit in front of the cylinder and close their eyes, and the light reflects through the holes in the spinning cylinder on the eyelids. The resulting flashes of light may, if the subjects are susceptible, create a mild sensation akin to the effect of the simplest light show. Aided by the inhalation of good p*t and the sound of hot rock, the device might create at best a mild dreamlike sensation, or at worst (unless you're prone to epileptic seizures) an even milder headache. It's an adaptation of flicker technology, first seen with strobe lights and now packaged as brain machines. Created by William Burroughs' friend and collaborator Brion Gysin and popularized by Burroughs."

this is an Old system of Alpha-wave induction therapy, just as the rocking motion promotes a sence of well-being in most individuals (theres always an exeption that proves the rule) due to sence memory in the womb(also why whalesong is most soothing)
the light reaction and repetative motion will induce a quasi-hypnotic state in about 60% of the poulation...you get evidence of this in episodes ov what is refered to as 'road hypnosis' the vibration of the vehicle and steady passing of the dotted lines cause several deaths around the world..
In reality, the cobra uses an animals survival instinct to stay still till danger passes to it's advantage by swaying back and forth till it comes within strike-range...
