Doubtful. The drop-off after Durant is pretty huge, at least that's what people think at this point. Pierce is aging and a Pierce/Allen duo would be a bit of a logjam.

I don't think so. Paul Pierce is good and all, but why get him when you can get a younger, better player. And the #5 isn't worth giving up a franchise player. Comparing Oden or Durant to the next beast player, horford, is like comparing Kobe to Odem.

They would take that trade, but Boston would be idiots to offer it. Pierce is a proven All-Star and he is becoming synonymous with the Celtics name. Trading their pick (which is still good enough to get a quality player) and their superstar for a player who has yet to prove himself on the NBA level would just be dumb. Say what you will about Durant, his NBA career is just speculation right now. He could still end up a bust no matter what the experts say.

not a chance, not for a probable superstar like durant. durant and oden are the real deal, both will be great players

As a faithful memeber to Sonics Nation, I would be so angry. They can't do it, they won't do it. I REALLY hope they don't even conside rit.

They better not! They need all the help they can get. The only trade they should consider is for Kobe or KG, that is all!

Absolutely not. They're trying to build their team by adding young guys, Pierce would counteract that.

i doubt it, unless they give up Ray Allen and get somebody like an Al Jefferson, in which case I could see it happen
