Is border security now dead because illegals didn't get their amnesty?

No. Border security can be handled under existing laws. There is a fence that still has to be built and there was already funding for border security.
I think DC is getting a clue that they have to deal with the border or they may not keep their jobs.

Yes - George Bush wishes to destroy America from within. His goal like his father's and like Clinton's goal (he signed NAFTA) is to eliminate national sovereignty in favor of one world government and a new world order.
Bush and Clinton favor the North American Union over the United States of America.
We need a serious change in Washington DC.

I'd like to see them start by strictly enforcing laws against employing undocumented workers. Stop the demand for cheap labor, then enforce the borders more rigorously. It will be more do-able once the rapid flow of immigrants slows.

These illegals have been using Americans over 30 years , Americans have paid over 30 billion dollars keeping these people up. These illegals should prove their loyalty to America by joining the U.S.A. military, and stop leaching off Americans! Our military men and women go off to war while these illegals keep coming into our country and taking over. I'm very angry over this, they should join our military and go off to war in Iraq as our men and women do!

Probably so...I read that this issue will probably not be brought up again until after election time...this is crazy to me as someone could win big political points if they put forth legislation to protect our borders better.

What, will she claim "Bush altered documents and phony intelligence, even though she did her own research" again?
That only happens once. And she used it.
But whatever or whoever she blames should be fun to watch. Especially the ways you folks will lap it up.....

I think it's time that we began slamming them with emails, phone calls and faxes, demanding secure borders and not letting up until they see the light.

Yes.
Not that it was ever alive, but the retaliation against the American people will include leaving the borders /wide/ open, and blocking any and all efforts to have our laws enforced.
