are you kidding? there is no other game on earth that uses so much strategy and teamwork. there is no other sport that requires every single man to do his job at all times. if one person makes a mistake, the play is blown. look at soccer and baseball. at any given point during play, half the players are just standing around doing nothing. football is a diverse game where strategy is key. you don't just score by putting a ball in a net or hitting one out of the park or putting it through a hoop. you can throw, run, kick, or fall on a ball to score. there are hundreds of different ways to win a game as compared to the same thing you see in every other sport. i can write a novel about this if you want, but if you can't see it plainly now, then you should definitely play it to find out for yourself. not to mention, the contact is a bonus

Football is great because of the hitting more so than the tight pants, unless you're in San Fransisco. It appeals to some because it is the only collision sport. But, it is also like a chess match. Each coach positions his players trying to counter the opponent and gain a new angle of attack. Underneath the hitting lies a complex web of formations, shifts, hot routes, reads, and gambles. As a coach you try and play the percentages of what you do vs your opponent. I think some people look at football just as hitting but that is like saying soccer is just kicking a ball.

Individuals from different backgrounds working as a team to fight for or defend their territory. Football is more of a team sport than any other. Football requires extreme physical and mental toughness. You have to like to get hurt and to hurt other people to play football. It also requires speed, athleticism, strategy, and intelligence. It's very difficult to explain football to someone from another country. It's almost like a second religion. High school football Friday night, college football Saturday, pro football Sunday.

Personally i enjoy college better but the NFL is by far the most profitable league on earth regardless of sport! There is no sport on earth that can get your adrenaline up like football!
