is working in a group more effective/better then working alone?

Less work
Cooperation and leadership can show, which can feel good
Some may check your work to see if you're on the right track

Cons of working in a group:
Distraction can come easily
A team member may not participate

Weigh the pros and cons, and you can choose from there. Personally, I like working alone, but I'm a loner, so my opinion wouldn't mean as much.

i could never get anything done in group study in college.

I used to like to check homework with other people or have them proofread my papers, though.

but actually doing the work, it never worked for me. we got distracted or we couldn't agree on how to tackle the issues! Or I'd do the work and everyone copied me...

so I have to say that it depends on you and on the group you are in .

i think it would be more helpful to work in a group because you get other people's understandings on thing and if you have trouble with something, they can help you out and vice versa.
