As a Dog Lover myself, I find this terrible.
As a Political statement it's weak at best.
If you have to go back 25 years to find this kind of stuff, and this is what you come up with, I think your Party is in trouble.
Hillary just voted to Legalize 12-20 Million Illegal Aliens-Criminals- and this is what you are reporting?

Romney seems like a nitwit, and he's politically tone deaf.
He pretty much showed a near Bush level IQ when he said his favorite book was BATTLEFIELD EARTH written by scientology cult leader L Ron Hubbard. As a Mormon, he was already in a tricky position with evangelicals, but that particular mistake was avoidable.
On the other hand, dogs ride in the back of open pick ups all the time and seem to enjoy it, so I don't know why that car carrier thing is such a big deal--unless he didn't tie it down and it flew off.

Although, this is TIME magazine, what do you expect? They probably got their facts wrong. Lets not forget that bubba probably smoked weed (but at least he didn't inhale) 20 years ago. Let's not dig up crap that may or may not have happened 20 years ago.
