well i have a huge tennis match coming up that i have been waiting for since last summer. i playu tennis at a tennis center/club and basicly every friday we have match play agianst other tennis clubs. so during that period last summer i developed a friendly rivalry against a player from another club. ive gotten better since then and im sure he has, however ive gained maybe 3-5 punds since then and can get fatigued at times and hes pretty good so im sure hes going to make me run. any good tips on how to ge3t a little more energy or just lose maybe a pound or twobefore our match

hydrate yourself definitely..but not too much that you cant move.. and stretch out your muscles so that they are not too tense during your match.

Hmm be as calm as possible. if you the guy that does great when playing calm then be calm or do nething to maintain the calm ness through out the match like hiking or swimming or extra hobbies that keep you calm. If your the type of player that needs to get fired up to be good then start getting fired up. Well one is be cocky. Think, what does he have that you dont have( I.E. big serve, good volleys, or big forehand or even strategy.) dont always think size. Take Martina navratilova for example, she was never ever powerful never ! but she did use strategy( her brain) how eles do you think she stayed on the pro tour for soooo long with out being exhausted because she was a wall never got tired because she never used power or energy to recover she used TATICS? Ill give you one good example. I seen sampras do this alot so it should work if you have good controled serve. Ok Serve wide and volley wide. I call it the wall because when you hit a cross court against the wall it goes the other way after it hits the wall. One other way is get alot energy in there( fibre, VIT C, iron, calcium)

Stop worrying about the pound or two and stop him from running you. How does he run you? With deep pulling shots? Drop shots? Lobs?

Sit down in a nice cool place and just remember the last time he/she played you. Was it his/her forehand that was more threatening, or backhand. Is his/her inside came weak or strong. How is he/she at tight shots to his body? vs. his/her running shots?

I beat people in better shape than I all the time. I out think them. If he'/she is pulling you with great side to side shots, you're probably hitting short in front of him/her so hit deep to the body so that they don't have that much time to prepare for that great shot.

Try to find out what they like and starve them of that, whether it is power, rhythm, or depth of shots. Make them wonder what you have done to your game?

Good luck, but you won't need it if you do your homework!

Drink two bottles of water before the match. That's all I know.....Just make the other guy run around.....mix up your shots and serve....
