Once again, I agree with bikertrash 100%. On this particular car, the way the tank is situated, you do not need to drop the fuel tank to access the fuel pump. Like bikertrash says, just make sure your fuel level is low before you disconnect the two lines and electrical connector, as well as the six 5/16" bolts to remove the pump.

Yes, according to Ford you just need to undo the exhaust insulators and let the exhaust system lay on the rear axle to give you enough room to access the pump. Be sure to drain the pump since it set fairly low in the tank.

nope. it sucks but the tank must be lowered. use a 2 ton floor jack to support the tank when unbolting the straps. then slowly lower the tank making sure the fuel lines don't get ****** up.

sorry, but the pump is in the tank and you have to drop it to get to it.
