I think everyone got tired of everyone else and wanted to pursue their own agendas

Two really famous people in one band. To have a succesful band you can only have on really famous guy (this is excluding Led Zeppelin). U2 has Bono. Nirvana had Kurt Cobain. Rolling Stones have Mick Jagger. Green Day has Billy Joe Armstrong. Aerosmith has Steven Tyler. The Beatles were fine but then John Lennon got really famous and Paul McCartney got really famous and then they started fighting and it just fell apart from there.

After a while they got on each others nerves and wanted to try things that were different. Let's face it the boys grew up together. What they didn't realize was how much they would miss it and I really don't think, contrary what to John said about Jesus, they realized how much of impact they did have.

I have no idea...but I know a lot of song from them..but I never knew they broke up...sorry..I wasn't a fan..besides, they were from my mom's time...and I know them because of her...

i think yoko had a lot to do with it......put ideas into Johns head about how he could do so much better on his own.....
