OMGosh!!! k i was at the mall today and i asked my mom if i can get a bikini, and then she was like NOO WAY! she said it looks like you're just wearing a bra and underwear while swimming.
i'm 14 and i'm and indian, so it might be the whole culture thing.
what can i do? how can i convince my mom?

By the time you get to be a Mom, you realize no matter your age, it is far more sexy to leave a little to the imagination. Trust her .

well its the point. evryone wears one. your mom might have said no cuz she doesn't want you 2 show off your body, and git attention, drawn 2 yourself. i mean negative attention, when bad things happen 2 girls evryday. you can try and covince your mom by saying lik mom im older now, why don't you just let me grow up, let me show that i have more maturity for the things that i wear. that might work. but you no im 13 and i can wear one, it;s just for swimming not nothing else. you're in the water with it not on the streets, like its clothing you wear and is half naked.

first try out with a tankini, like the bathing suit that is not as tiny, that covers most of your tummy, but then slowly your mom may get used to that one, then a little later, start to talk about the bikini.
but dont annoy her, then she will be sure to say no.

Talk her into getting you one that is not reveling. Like one that has a tank top for the top part. Not only will your mother agree but you'll still look like a million bucks. Good Luck!!

uhm. just buy it anyway and wear wen shes not around. okay, your mom needs to realize that your not a little baby & uhm, bikinis are meant to be skimpy, okay?

HMM.....................my parents wouldnt let me wear stuff like that and it sucked but other things I wouldnt keep going on about it I would ask acouple times and then drop it and if your walking and see one try to make her feel sorry but not desprate!!

Omg, that SUX!! you can start out with a "Tankini", and let her get used to that first. and then ask about a bikini.
