I became a leader for the first time in my life.... Would you like to advice me something?

I'm not a trainee.. I'm the one training them at the firm

Well done!! Congratulations!! How exciting for you, this is quite a feather in your cap, not to mention how this is going to look on your resume...wow.

Forgot the advice, so here goes:
1) you are their superior, not their friend.
2) you can be "friends" with them, as long as you don't blurr the lines.
3) To be a good leader, you need to be a good listener.
4) If crap happens, don't react right way. You may say something you regret, and you can't unring the bell. Count to 5.
5) Always show confidence, even if you're scared $hitless.

Congratulations! good job! some advice? sure: don't get overbearing and think that your way is the only way. take suggestions from the group. even if you don't implement their ideas, the fact that you listened will go a LONG way. Good luck!

Make up a training manual, meet with them one on one, asking them questions - their input, create a fun - enjoyable atmosphere, remember it takes time to learn a new organization/job. It is proved that most people quit jobs...etc. because they don't fit in. It's fun.
