I have a small practice amp, I was playing it the other day and one of my friends picked it up and it stopped working. I know there is something wrong with the input jack, because when you apply pressure it works and when you let go it stops. Well, I don't know what to do, I have resoldered the leads on the jack(don't worry the amp is no longer under warranty) and I still have the same problem. I have looked and everything looks like it is still inplace. If it needs to be replaced, I have an extra jack but it looks different. I have enough electronic skills to solder and that is it. So, any help would be greatly appreciated.

R U sure it's the input jack and not the plug on the lead. Try a different lead if U have one. If nor check the connections in the plugs. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

my guess is that the prong on your input jack is worn out and getting a poor ground. Its a couple bucks for a new one at any music store .... Dont use an old one you will just waste your time.
