What you need is a dehumidifier. It is the moisture/humidity that is causing the swelling.

Choose a time when the doors arnt sticking and paint them with a polyurethane varnish, this will keep out the moisture and so stop the doors swelling.

Sound like you have an evaporative cooler in your home. The moisture of the cooler swells the doors. Try to keep the cooler at one constant cooling speed (low) night and day. The doors will stay one size

Unless you can invent some kind of magic ninja curtain that just floats there I don't see how you can do it without putting up a curtain pole. No big deal really, when you come to move you take it down, fill the holes and touch it up with paint. You can buy these spring loaded curtain pole things that you just wedge in the door frame but in my experience they are rubbish and would not support a heavy curtain.

It's not the heat it is the moisture as someone has already mentioned. Once the door has shrunk back to normal make sure all edges are sealed with paint or varnish, including the top and bottom.

My internal doors are always swelling up. A cold shower helps.

Are you in the UK? It's the wet I think mine do it as they are untreated oak (old doors, Not tree murder lol), I don't know how to stop it happening but they go down if the heating is on.

It isn't the heat, it's the humidity. A dehumidifier may help.

dehumidifier will sort that straight out for you and you'll be suprised how much damp/moisture they collect!!!
