I think if it was forced, there would be less than 4 children, and Anne wouldn't have came along exactly 9 months after Philip returned from naval service.

They certainly do. The Queen first met Philip when she was 13 years old, and she never even looked at another man. King George VI and Queen Elizabeth were not really in favour of the match, but gave way because they wanted their daughter to be happy, and not have an arranged marriage. Look up a picture of them on their wedding day, they are both absolutely radiant.

Deep true love is not just sex.

Charisma is something Prince Philip passed on to Prince
Charles. They both have those warm loving eyes, and come off as the strong silent type. I wouldn't be surprised if I heard
Queen Elizabeth put Queen Mum up to arranging the engagement and wedding (from a social standpoint)!

Would you stay with someone for all those years if you didn't love him?
As for being forced to have sex, how exactly would that work?
Their marriage may have been arranged but apparently the Queen adored him from the moment she first saw him. He was very good looking back then.

It was a love match.

Admitedly anyone she married would have had to have been of some sort of royal blood, but Prince Philip was only a minor player - she could have gone much higher if all they wanted was a pure marriage of arrangement, or a marriage of status.

the marriage was not arranged
The queen met him in her teens and fell for him and insisted he was the one
He was a distant cousin and a product of the greek royal family
her uncle married Philips sister
its all about what was suitable in those days

To add to what MonkeyFace said :
In her youth Elizabeth was a very well endowed and very good looking woman with a great figure. I can't imagine a hotblooded Greek like Philip keeping his hands off her for any length of time.
Google early images of Elizabeth and you'll see what I mean.

Her face used to light up whenever she saw him; she certainly had "a thing" about Philip. I seem to recall that she caused a stir several times by sneaking off without a bodyguard to meet him.
And she wasn't a dowdy girl - look at the pictures of her Coronation. You really can't look at a woman in her 80's and expect her to have the attractive looks of a vibrant teenager.

There may have been an element of "lie back and think of England" at first, but I suspect that working together for The Firm would at least make them amicable colleagues, if not passionate ones.

Don't forget, they were brought up in a different era. The whole concept of Love and Marriage was completely different back then. "Til death do us part" was literal - there was no divorcing just because you'd gone off each other.

I believe they do love each other, but that their definition of love may not be that of most young people in the 21st century...

Actually her parents were not pleased because he was poor royalty. They met at some party and she was over the moon for him ever since. I would like think they are still in love with each other.
