The Vikings had many different types of ships, the Longship generally being the first one that comes to mind. There are different types of longships, the Dragonship,Snekke and Roskilde. These were well, long ships and were used for raiding and warfare, they had a low keel, as they were not crossing oceans, it also was very useful as they could beach it, yet if they need to retreat, easy to get away in. These ships were 100 ft long and held a crew of 80-90 men.
Knarr's were cargo vessels, they had a longer draught (the hull was bigger), these ships were long distance ships and relied mostly on sails rather than oars, they were capable of holding 15 tons, and had a length of 54 feet.
Other ships used were the Fearring, Karves and Cogs.

There wasn't really a uniform size to either ships or crews. 50-75 was probably typical for long-distance raiding. Ships with over a hundred crew members weren't unknown.

Some are build-ed to carry 90 or more men with their horse and all the equipment.. That is required for a lengthy stay in a foreign land where they want to attack or fight off an attack... You also have to remember that some of those Viking ships could have a triple deck.......................... But their average ship had two decks minimum... One deck for the rowers and one deck for storage....................................................

about ten or fifteen i guess with the old ships that didn't use sails. i think vikings can reach mesopotamia as viking route maps tell me what i dont know is the evidence for the knowledge that they had reached mesopotamia. the one at nydam mose is dragged inland i think for satisfaction and muscle strength and no one has died and those who build the ship destroyed it themselves.
