I knit a 3-D ball and before i before i finish it i want to put soft material in it. I can't find any cotton and tissue doesn't feel soft enough.

find an old stuffed animal or pillow and take the stuffing from that.

Hmmm. What about a really soft pillow case thats bunched up? Of course you'd cut it to the right size.. but they do make some super soft ones with a high thread count. For some reason, that is the first thing I thought about, lol...

Man you must be bored or maybe starting to get senile. My wife is always talking about the thread count in cotton sheets but I have no idea what is good or bad.

Maybe fabric from an old pillowcase or t-shirt would work. Or dryer sheets - then it would smell nice too.
