I have a verison cell phone. And I get unlimited calling after 9pm. If i am on the phone as it turns to 9, does it automatically become free? or do i have to get off the phone and make a new phone call?

You have to make the call after it turns 9pm. Ex.. of you call someone at say 8:58 pm and you talk for an hour..you have to pay for the call. It is from the time the call starts. After 9 means after 9..then its free, unless you dialed the # before 9..then hang up at 9:01 and make the call again to get that 1 free

Fyi its 9:01 that the calling is free and you have to make the phone call after that time like others have noted

This is where some people get into a bit of trouble...
Generally you will need to end the call and call back to get the free minutes. Cell companies love the misunderstanding here, cuz they charge you! It is explained in the very fine print... check it out...

Good Luck!
