Does anyone else get scared when...?

these 13-17 yr olds are posting the "Anyone wanna chat?" questions?

Im bored at work most of the day, so chatting doesnt bother me. Then come to find out they are like 13 or 15 and it freaks me out.

Anyone else experience this problem? I think if they are gonna ask the question, they should post their age up to as a warning they are jail bait!

WEIRD... I ASKED THIS SAME EXACT QUESTION IN THE STRAIGHT SECTION AND THEY AUTOMATICALLY THOUGHT I WAS TRYING TO TALK DIRTY WITH THEM. OR THOUGHT I WAS POSTING THE QUESTIONS IF THEY WANNA CHAT.

I agree 100%, I am not into children either, yes I am gay, but do not get off on kids.

I also dislike the thought that I may be chatting or emailing to a child. I am NOT into children, I think that's sick.
But I usually assume that anyone who types in txt msg shorthand is underage, that helps weed out some of the kids.

I do wish there were an adults only area, but I imagine that would be near impossible to enforce.

Are kids sooner mature now ? Or into older people ? When I was 15 people over 20 looked like with one footh in the grave.

I stood at the entrance of a gay bar when this boy came by, looking like 13 or something and said hi cutie.

I went blank. Just looked at him and said : I'm 34.

He said : Mmmmmm.

Lol. Ok, not lol. Very not lol.

That's why you never talk about any subject that can get you in trouble!!!
I have several younger people in my contacts, and sometimes they e-mail and stuff, but I don't cross any lines with them, that is wrong!!!
I do actually warn them of some of the dangers facing them in cyberspace.
You also have to be careful, somr of these people could actually be law enforcement trying to catch pedo's on here, which I'm sure there is a couple!!!

haha yeah I know what you mean. I was answering a question from a kid that was only 16 but based on the question (sex) I thought she was way older and I was telling her all these technigues. I got really disgusted. I have teenage brothers and I would be mad if they came on here asking sex or R rated questions and people answered them...I would never have answered that kids question if I knew her age.

You know it's just a matter of time. I personally feel we have more to fear from Iran, especially if Bush decides to bomb their nuclear research facilities. North Korea has yet to figure out how to aim a missile.

That txt msg shrthnd is a Dead give-away!!
Even my 11yr old neice doesn't use it...but that's because my brother and I have always insisted our kids write properly.

But generally I just don't chat with anyone I don't know or haven't seen often on Y!A.

Creepy... I don't generally chat online, but even the thought of youngsters posting things like that creeps me out. Don't they have parents...?

YES and that young children proposition you sometimes. I mean seriously like 16 year old kids sending me notes and stuff.

I wanted to be a mentor to this one kid who indicated he was gong to kill himself and we talked and HE kept it up I told him flat out I am not interested in sex with kid I just wanted to be a person he could talk to - eventually I just stopped writing him.

Honestly I wish there was a way to turn these typeof kids in to the authorities because they are just asking for trouble and someone is going to be willing to give it to them!

I always ask first how old they are
