good, we need some more NFL players.
no one here wants to play college or NFL football. come on over. we are dying for more young adults to invest all their developmental years into a sport that will most likely take them no where. only to look back when they are adults and kick themselves for not paying more attention to their education.
come 'on over, champ.

There are some good ideas above. You definitely want to be strong, and especially FAST. Sports like football (your version) and rugby can help with that. Run track, too. Get as fast as you can possibly be. And lift weights on a regular structured program, at least four days per week.
Keep your grades up and try to do at least one year of high school as an exchange student here in the USA. Try to come the summer before so you can try out for a football team and go to its camp (which is in summer before school starts.) Do some research as to where you'd like to stay in the US and what schools have top rated football teams. There are a lot in the southern USA (Florida, Texas, etc.)
Get a football and practice throwing and catching the ball with your friends.
Make sure you go to college in the USA. You might try a big football school, but those schools also recruit athletes from all over so it might be hard to walk onto the team. Some smaller schools might have more play time for you so that you can get more experience.
Good luck! Stick to your dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume that you know how to play football and are on a football team. What you really need to do is make yourself a complete athlete. Learn to block, tackle, run, catch...everything you can think of. That'll increase your chances of being able to fill any need. Live, eat, sleep, and breathe football. Understand the game.
As far as getting you a scholarship...have someone tape you in your games. If you don't actually play on a team, just send a video of you lifting, running, jumping, catching, etc. Find some small Division I schools in America, and send them your tape. If they're interested enough in your talent, they just might offer you a scholarship.
Hope this helps. Good luck

Get in shape. Workout exercise, get big and fast. If you can't play football in Scotland, then find something else with contact like rugby. Get use to being hit.
If your grades are good enough apply to one of the top 5 football school (look at the BCS rankings) and try out for their program. If you can't make it at one of those schools, you may want to try playing at a junior college located near the college you want to go to. Play at the JC for a couple of years and transfer out to the college you want to go to.

First, work hard in school and get good grades. Easiest way for you to get into this country is if you have good grades and want to get an academic scholarship. Secondly work out. A lot. Watch NFL games and key in on the position you want to play. Work Out more. Study more film. Work out more. Get the picture?

If you don't live in the US or Canada, you're probably in trouble. You need to go to a high school in the US, play football and be very very good so the major football schools will notice you.
It helps if you're big, fast and agile too.
