my bettas tanks are pretty disgusting. will using latex gloves to clean the tanks be harmful to the fish?

No.. Don't use SOap thought. THis will kill your fish and the benificial bacteria you have in your tank.

probably not but there is a chance it will be harm full it all depends on what you used the gloves on before you cleaned it but i would suggest put some water aside put you Betta in there empty the tank take a CLEAN sponge and wipe the sides NO SOAP soap will kill any fish then replace the water and the Betta and it will be happy in its new home

I'm not sure about the latex. It shouldn't hurt the fish, just make sure you rinse it out well after cleaning it.

take the fish out and put it in a container(with water) then dump water from the bowl out and but new distilled drinking water in the bowl, next dump fish back in bowl
hint: don't drop fish in sink when going from bowl to container :)

don't use soap
you would be better of using a siphon to clean the tank

nah. i won't hurt them. agreed though...soap is a no no!!!
\don't forget to recondition the water so that there is no chlorine!
