You answered your own question: he was not on them at the time. Besides, "probably" took them in college isn't an argument in favor of blaming steroids. That is ludicrous, even if you don't factor in the fact that steroid use was not a common problem in the 60s and 70s when he played.

First of all OJ was found not guitly so how do you blame steroids for that? Secound, The Chris benoit situation is completly different. OJ who I believe is completly guilty did his murder out of jelousy. The beniot murders may or may not have been due to roid rage.

Because OJ hadn't used steroids for years. Benoit was ON streroids when it happened. OJ lied, Benoit did not hide the fact that he did it.

Because steroid psychosis was not widely known then. And, as others pointed out, if he wasn't taking them at the time, it would not be related to steroid use. Unless, of course, you factor in that prolonged steroid use left him bat-**** crazy.

Who? The prosecutors? The defense wouldn't have because that would have admitted guilt. The prosecutors wouldn't because they weren't able to prove guilt, so a reason wasn't "needed".
