Chris benoit managed to kill his wife, son and himself over the last week. Now we all know that wrestling is "Fake" it is purely entertainment! Young kids tend to belive that men with big muscles are generaly tough and good fighters.

WWE creates a fake reality for the fans.

We also all know that Eddie guerro Died from steroid abuse, He ended up with heart failure.

Do you think Anabolic steroids ( which i dont think had that big of an impact)

That they where the main reason that caused this tragedy?

Ok, I'm not trying to say I know it all about this case, but from what I've read up on, there are certain facts that crop up time & again...

1. At time of posting this, Georgia state police are still awaiting results of the toxicology report on Benoit's corpse. He was last randomly tested by WWE in April, it came back negative. How ANYONE can state that steroids were a part of this & make it sound like a fact at this time is beyond me.

2. According to released details of the case, Benoit's wife died on Friday (bound & strangled), his son on the Saturday (smothered), while he took his own life on the Sunday. I don't know much about steroids, but I doubt that "roid rage" would last 3 whole days with breaks inbetween. And who the hell - in a fit of drug induced anger - ties their victim up first before strangling them? This was a calculated & deliberate act of a deranged individual.

3. Eddie Guerrero DID NOT die of steroid abuse - FACT!
Five years prior to his death, Eddie had a well-documented problem with alcohol & painkillers. He had previously been in a car accident that had left him in constant pain & he had been fired from WWE for alcohol/non-prescription painkiller abuse.
He had been clean & sober for three years (and back in WWE) when his (unknowingly damaged arteries around his) heart gave out. The damage had been caused (according to the autopsy report) by over wear & tear due to abuse of alcohol & painkillers. The wear & tear could have been diagnosed if he'd had a cardio-vascular check-up.

I believe that the main motive for this event was a bone of contention between Mr & Mrs Benoit over the care of their mentally disabled son. She didn't want him to quit WWE but did want him to work less so he could share the special needs care his son required, hence Benoit's recent "6 months off to let old injuries heal" absence from WWE.
That's purely speculation on my part though.
We'll never know for sure...

I agree with Bugaboo though.
No matter what transpired between him & his wife last Friday resulting in her death, he didn't need to kill his son too.
As much as I respected him for his 22-year career in professional wrestling, may he never get peace wherever he is now for what he did.

They don't have the toxicology reports yet, so that's impossible to say for certain. I would say, however, that steroids don't only cause rage, they also cause severe depression. It's hard to imagine that 'roid rage' could have been the reason for this because he killed over days, not minutes or hours. But, it is possible that he was in a rage when he killed his wife and then things just got worse from there. Only a monster would kill their child!

They may have had an impact because years of steroid abuse can cause paranoia and dementia.Obviously he wasn't in the right frame of mind to go on a killing spree.

I don't think steroids was the main reason but the police did find steroids and some other prescribed drugs laying around his house.

no i don't think it has to do with steroids. he had a clean drug test. he was injecting them into his son to make him bigger. i think he was ashamed to have a child that wasn't perfect( his son was mentally challenged) i always thought Chris was a good guy. something made him snap. i think he was arguing with Nancy and he lost it. there is more to the story that we will never know. but i do not blame it on steroids ---

I think its a terrible tragedy, but what a heartless b******** to kill his own son.

If you want to do yourself in, theres no need to take your kids out with you.

Steroids or not. Its twisted.
