A sand castle. It rejoins the sea, but all its parts remain. An ice castle, for all its glitter, only melts and evaporates.

I would rather be a Sand Castle, than an Ice Castle, because The sand is hot and the Ice is cold.

Would I rather be a sand castle or an ice castle? Hmmm...you know...I've alwats found your questions a bit tricky...but this does it.
LOL...:-) Just Kidding. A very good question indeed.

Well...I'd have to say a sand castle.
I always felt I was close to the earth. My element is even earth. And I've always loved to build sand casltes. Although do not recall building an ice castle ever. :-)
Anyway..there's this thing about earth...you know...sand...it's so mistifying in its own way.
Like if you try and grasp it too tight, it'll simply slip away from your hands.
And when I would be a sand caslte...sitting at a beach or a 'sandy-place' persay...I would enjoy the wonderful view :

Families smiling together.
Children playing.
The ocean tides rising and falling.
The horizon
The birds.
You name it.
And then...unless somebody steps over me...which if they do..I 'll mix away with my fellow sand grains, but if they don't I look upon the sun at sunset.
And then it's beauitful colours that look like the aurora borealis will slowly melt me away.
But what will remain would be my essence of fragrance through each and every sandgrain.

And the love devolped for that earth.

A sand castle is much more fragile then an ice castle. Even the wind might ruin it. Ice is much more determined, though cold it tries and tries, when it's finally melted it does not disappear, it only returns back to it's source. So I chose ICE Castle

Hi Enki.

I would prefer to be an ice castle. Even though I would melt away quickly - water is pure, honest and trustworthy. There are no surprises with water, you can see straight through it!

Sand doesn't really have a use, whereas water is needed to survive! So at least I will be dieing for the well being and happiness of other animals and humans!

The idea of people walking on me barefoot doesn't sound too appealing either, or being under the hot mid-day sun!
