The flatter a convex-convex lens is, the longer its focal length. The extreme of this is a completely flat lens, which focuses incoming parallel rays "at infinity" (i.e., it doesn't focus them at all).

So, the shallower the curvature of a convex-convex lens, the longer the focal length.
