my opinion is that while fighting with his wife, Chris killed her accidentally and then instead of facing the court system and all of his family, friends, and fans, he felt that it was best if he killed himself. His son was MRDD, so he more than likely killed the kid to save him from the pain of having to grow up with a disability and no parents. The kid would have probably ended up in some kinda facility for mentaly disabled ppl. Its wrong either way, however I dont think he is the cold hearted person that everyone is making him out to be. It was probably his only way out. If his intentions were just to kill his family, he would'nt have taken 3 days to do it. It could have been done in minutes. Give me ur thoughts.

According to what I have read, they were arguing over the past few weeks about taking care of the son. According to the forensics, the wife did die first and then the son died later. Chris Benoit spent quite a time alone after the killings (I have heard one quote of almost an entire day but that may be exagerated).
I do not think that he was an evil person. The leading guesstimology says that roid rage is the source of all of this. I am inclined to believe that chemical/hormone use was somehow to blame in all of this. I have also heard one idea was that he wanted to kill himself and by killing his wife and son, he forced himself to go past the point of no return so that killing himself would be easier.
One thing about the accidental killing of the wife idea that does not make sense. There was no note found. If a person does kill someone accidentally and then kills themselves out of guilt, there is usually a note apologizing for the killing. Now, since this is pretty much recent news, it is possible that the note is in the mail or someone's email inbox and is unopened. However, if Chris Benoit was out of his mind then it is possible for him to do the killings and then himself and leave no note. The thing is, it will take quite a bit of work to really figure out some of the details and we will never really know the whole story.

If this were not a famous person, idolized by millions, there would be no question that he was evil (I don't know what evil is, if it's not slaying your own family). How about the boyfriend in Ohio, charged with killing preganant girlfriend, Jessie Davis? Where's your sympathy for him? You have watched Chris Benoit on TV, and because of that , you feel in some way that you know him. Well, ya didn't. You speak as if killing his son was for the protection of the child, like he'll be better off. WOW! I hope you are in no way someone who has a career in any type of child services or child protection. As for the three days it took to do all of the killikg that he did, you,I ,or no one else knows what happened in that time span, but you can bet it was in no way sane!!! Stop defending a murderer.

atleast you theory is better than a lot of people's. even one of his friends in the wwe(likely chavo) said that he's been trying to rationalize why benoit would do all this. he said he's not sure what it was that made him kill nancy but that after he did he realized he was going to be orphaning his son with fragile x. (orphaning because he surely would've gone to prison). so maybe in his own way, he figured it would be better if they all left this world together. sadly, i don't think benoit ended up in the same afterlife, assuming there is one, as his wife and son. i do know that i agree with vince that it wasn't roid rage. there could've been steroids involved, but why would he start taking them all of a sudden again. he'd been clean enough to pass his last test two months ago....
i agree that he did not intend to just stay home and start killing his family too. especially the way he dragged it out like that....it had to have killed him....well, we know it did eventually anyway.
well, whatever happened to bring this on....they are all in my prayers...

I think he should have killed himself and left the innocent to tell the story of his life so he could at least be memorialized in some manner. What he did was unacceptable, and cowardly. He was not a hero in any manner of life. He was a horrible human being hiding behind a facade of a pro wrestler. His remaining family should be ashamed to be related to him.

this investigation is gonna take a long time.
the thing i don't get is....who posted Nancy's death on Wikipedia half a day before their bodies were found...the IP address was traced to Stamford, Conneticut. Someone needs to see if Benoit took a flight there or something....

I agree with you totally. But I think he took the antibiotic steroids and the steroids caused some type of trigger in his head which caused him to kill his wife.

Bull, he's a fraking murderer plain and simple. Like most abusive husbands when things wern't going his way he decieded to take the cowards way out. He should not be honored or remembered in any way. His records should be wiped from the wwe.

That's true. But I still think someone else did it. But Benoit was loved by everyone. It probably was Kevin Sullivan, Nancy's ex husband.
