i have a toshiba satellite m20 and it's not using the internal wireless. there'e a a switch on the side that says that it's activated and indicator light says it's on but it's not functioning. i have no idea what to do to make it work again; can someone please help me?

oh and also my sound system on the laptop doesn't work. it used to work and then one day nothing came out of my speakers or my headphone jack. i'm more concerned about the internet right now but suggestions on how to fix my sound system would also be greatly appreciated!

If you are running Windows Xp, go to Start, Settings, Network Connections and find your wireless connection..right click and see if its disable or enabled..even if it looks enabled...click disable and then right click and re-enable it. This should bring it back. Your sound card might be disabled as well..or the driver is incorrect. Go to .Start, Settings, Control Panel, System, then tab to Hardware and to Device Manager...look to see if your Sound Device has a yellow ! next to it..if so..delete the sound card and reboot the PC...

What type of wireless router do you have, and type of internet connection?
